"The film will be done when it's done"
That's my new motto.
I'll be honest... I stress out pretty darn easy. Which is probably why I have been on blood pressure medicine for the last 20 years.
I started a great new job a few months ago that has been keeping me extremely busy... physically and mentally. And, it makes it hard to think about tackling a feature film. It all seems very daunting.
BUT, I have a plan. I've decided when the script is done, I will make a 'title sheet' for each scene of the movie and make it it's very short film. And we will shoot it just that way.... one little short film at a time. That way, when we are shooting for just a weekend, we can say, "this little short film is only 3 pages long... and that shouldn't be too much too handle and to do well". I think that's a way of making this film in "little bite sized morsels".
Most people shoot a film in one big block... 2 weeks up to 2 or 3 months. We'll make ours "one bite at a time", over the course of a year if we have to...
